Federal Election Commission begins inquiry into Carly Fiorina campaign
The unexplained manner in which Carly Fiorina got her hands on half a million dollars of another candidate’s money this summer has now graduated from being an internet curiosity to becoming a legal matter, as the Federal Election Commission has begun an inquiry into where the money really came from and why. It’s the latest scandal to surface in the Fiorina camp after her rise in the polls began this month, and this one may go beyond a mere problem of perception.
Although the FEC is just now opening the inquiry, the controversy quietly started back in July when Carly Fiorina – who at the time was polling near zero and whose campaign may as well not have existed – was mysteriously given half a million dollars of seed money by a republican Super PAC called Keep the Promise 1. The PAC was founded in the name of supporting Ted Cruz. But it never actually gave any money to Cruz, instead serving only to keep the Fiorina campaign in business at a time when it existed more or less in name only. Now the feds are asking Fiorina for a “statement or description of why each disbursement was made.”
Theories have been floated by various corners that the republican party may have been trying to keep Carly Fiorina in the race simply so it could say it had a female candidate, or that Fiorina was kept around specifically so a woman could attack democratic rival frontrunner Hillary Clinton; indeed Fiorina spent the summer playing the role of Clinton attack dog. But now that Carly Fiorina climbed just high enough in the polls to matter as a candidate, the mysterious backroom financial dealings which had kept her in the race are now more than just a head scratcher for onlookers. They’re suspicious enough that the Federal Election Commission is demanding answers. That means this may have just gone from a scandal to perception to scandal with legal jeopardy.
I hope this investigation can be completed before The Election.

Seems she has a bad track record in every venture she gets into.
No corporation will hire her after what she did to HP, no matter how often she lies about her tenure there. She was fired, but constantly claims to have done a great job for “doubling the size” of the company (and tripling the amount she personally took home) with an ill advised acquisition of the second biggest tech company she could find, in a gradeschool-level strategy to “corner the market” on printers and ink. She CANNOT get another CEO job, because NO corporation will fall for her pretense to be a competent corporate executive.
Thus she thinks she can get the job of chief executive of the whole country. Of course she does– she flimflammed her way into three CEO offices, after the AT&T senior executive she swiped from his first wife got her into the AT&T “fast track to management” slide straight out of business school. I never heard anything that even claimed she’d FINISHED business school– she dropped her first husband and started chasing a corporate corner office about the same time she started her affair with Fiorina– and she is now trying to fool people into thinking she is a mother by claiming her husband’s daughters by his first wife as her own.

Ben Rosen was not a disinterested party. Indeed, he had large investments in Compaq, and served at chairman there for many years. I’m sure that the merger worked well for him personally, but it was a disaster for the folks holding HP stock.

No democrat I know is scared of any republican candidate period. There is not a one of them even in the same ball park as Hillary. The platform of all the republican candidates will do them in because it is the same old tired rhetoric; abortion, women’s healthcare, religion and persecution. The American voter cares about job creation, fair tax distribution, corporate welfare, widening of income gap, our infrastructure, immigration, healthcare costs and earning a living wage.
Hillary has been cleared of wrongdoing by the FBI and even a republican led committee. She is on solid ground. Look elsewhere for your witch. Republicans are sealing their own demise because they are too uninformed to compromise or learn.

How can she be cleared when the FBI just announced they have recovered deleted emails from Clintons server last week? Someone is lying to you and it would behoove you to do your own research.

Is it a stated rule that the PAC of one candidate, which they are supposed to be totally independent of, cannot give to another candidate…possibly for strategic reasons? And what about the money Walker had, where does that go?
PAC’s aren’t allowed to donate to anyone’s campaign.
The money did not go from a Ted Cruz superPAC to Fiorina’s campaign. It went from a Ted Cruz superPAC to a Fiorina superPac. I do not know if that is allowed or not, but I do know it is possible for one candidate to donate to another candidate and they do it all the time, but I would think they would need to follow campaign finance rules as to the amount they donated. Super Pacs can accept any amount of money, there are no limits which is how Trump was able to donate so much to candidates (or he donated to their favorite charities as he did for Rand Paul) and basically ensure they answered his calls at a later date. Unions do this all the time. This article sounds like it is just another one of those stupid things put out in an attempt to link some wrong doing to a candidates name without ever really showing that any wrong doing was done to begin with! Since Fiorina is unable, by law, to consult with a single group who forms a super Pac in her name, this is just a whole lot of nothing. IF anyone is in trouble, it won’t be Fiorina, it will be those handling the finances for these two PAC’s.
Just hope that the TRUTH comes out. Regardless of what it is the American people deserve to know the truth.
Funny whenever a Republican is accused of doing anything wrong, they have all kinds of people crying foul, making excuses and justifying unacceptable behavior, and trying to blame everything on the other party. Even though Hilary has been cleared of charges, the Republicans just cannot accept that and so to get the heat off their party, they dredge it up over and over again. I do not know how they can continually act like their party can do no wrong.
Kel is correct! This past week it came out that Hillary’s deleted email has been recovered by the FBI. I knew she would not have been able to hire the sharpest tool in the shed. Look who they hired to create a birth certificate and build a website.
Just one little problem with your statement….Hillary has NOT been cleared of charges! They have not even finished going through the emails they recovered from her server after her attempt to wipe it failed. And they are STILL finding more emails from her time as Secretary of State in odd places! Just last night she was trying to explain away a whole email stream between her and General Petraeus that she said did no exist and he said did…turns out it did and they found it on a government server under the email address she used before she moved everything to a private server in her own home.
I want to know what reality some of these people are living in. Hillary hasn’t been cleared of anything and something new comes up every week.
