If the story of washed up former sitcom actor Scott Baio being Donald Trump‘s biggest “celebrity” surrogate wasn’t strange enough, the saga has now taken an even surreal twist post-election. Baio claims that while he was attending a function at his kid’s elementary school, he was physically assaulted over his support for Trump by another parent… who just happens to be the wife of one of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Scott Baio has filed a police report against Nancy Mack, wife of longtime Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, according to a new TMZ report. Baio claims that Mack spotted him at the school function and began yelling Trump’s infamous phrase “Grab ’em by the pussy” at him, and that she then began physically attacking him. But she claims that she was merely demonstrating the inappropriate manner in which Trump likes to hug women, by doing the same to Baio. As noted in the above source link, TMZ has confirmed that the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the incident.
Baio, whose acting career long ago stalled and who had largely been forgotten before he endorsed Trump, has since become a target of widespread scorn – particularly after he defended Trump’s admission of sexual assault. As it turns out, Baio has a history of overt sexism himself; Daily News Bin previously documented that he repeatedly referred to Hillary Clinton as a “c*nt” on Twitter during the course of the election.
